Quins elected to attack the Newforge Country Club end and Gannon kicked off. Quins scored seven tries , by O'Hagan(3), Cuttle(7), McKeen(9), Trask(16), R.Wiley(24), McPhail(49) and Rankin(68).O'Hagan converyted three while Gannon replied with two excellent second-half tries.Thus the halftime score was Quins III 27 Dungannon III 0 and the full-time score was:

Quins scrums, mauls and rucks were excellent.Lineoutswere very good ,especially in the first half. Tacklingwas first class.The front row were solid, the back row
and the midfield triangle dominant,while the halfbacks controlled the game judiciously. Well done team.
Great to see my old pals Alan Buchanan and Willie McKenzie.
This was an entertaining match.
