A quick analysis of these results compared to the actual points scored and conceded by the 5's shows that most of the information below has been made up by a Branch Boffin as points For should read 301 whereas points Against is actually 308 rather than 598! Apparently the 5's were also awarded 4 points from March's visit to Randalstown by the Branch in June bringing our Points Total to 18 and therefore passing Randalstown (who had 4 points deducted). With both games against Queen's, who had a torrid season, cancelled and the return fixture against Inst not played (they were probably too scared) it is likely that another 6 points would have been in the bag which could have resulted in a joint 3rd finish. As it stands however, the 5's actually finished a respectable 6th in the league!
